Arrow

We celebrate Raksha Bandhan every year in the month of July and August. This year we will celebrate Raksha Bandhan for two days on 11th August and 12th August 2022.

Why we celebrate Raksha Bandhan?

The festival of Raksha Bandhan shows the love of brother and sister. It also shows the duty of brother towards sister. Sister tying rakhi on her brother's wrist wishes him success and happiness and prosperity. Brother blesses his sister and at the same time brother gives gifts to his sister with love. This festival tells about the relationship between brother and sister.

Story of Raksha Bandhan

The recognition of the festival of Rakshabandhan can be seen from ancient times. In ancient times i.e. during the time of Mahabharata, when Lord Shri Krishna's hands were hurt and blood started flowing from his hands, then Draupadi immediately tore her clothes and tied it on Krishna's hands and in return Shri Krishna gave her protection. Since then it is celebrated as a festival which signifies the duties of brother towards sister.

During the partition of Bengal in 1905, Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore started celebrating Raksha Bandhan. He started this festival to maintain Hindu Muslim unity. However, we get information about Raksha Bandhan from the Mahabharata period itself.

The relation of brother and sister is very deep than any relation in the world. Brother and sister both take care of each other's happiness.

Brother and sister are each other's best and special friends. Both understand each other's problems and both keep everything secret of each other. Brother and sister are each other's best friends.

Those people in this world are the happiest luck who have brother and sister because the most love in this world is in the relationship between brother and sister.

On this Rakshabandhan, every brother will have a lot of rakhis in their hands and every sister will have a lot of happiness on their face. Sister will get Rakhi plate and brother will get many gifts. May the festival of Raksha Bandhan keep coming every year and keep increasing the love of brother and sister.
